Scapa Flow Dive Trip 2002.

The Triton, a find boat.

June saw our main expedition of the year to Scapa Flow in the Orkneys. We had sufficient divers to hire two boats, MFV Triton and MFV Annette Rosenkilde. Two good boats and two good skippers, Dave and Neil. We know Neil quite well by now as he has skippered us 3 times, twice from the Triton and this time from his new boat Annette Rosenkilde. Highly recommended.

Both boats did the main seven German Wrecks and finished off with the James Barrie. It is hard to pick out the best but excellent dives were held on the Karlsruhe, with visibility good enough to see 10m up and down the wreck, also a good mooching dive on the Kron Prinz Willhelm.
We lapped up the luxury on this occasion and stayed at the Ferry Inn, which was as good a base as you could ask for. The group was a mixture of Scapa first timers and old hands either way all had a good week.

Mark at the ready!

Jeff's Kite. Well it passes the time, but the pub is better.

Matron on board, well hanging on to the port side.....
