Happy 50th Bithday BSAC Wed 15th Oct 2003

BSAC is now in its 50th year and has grown from a small club in London to a massive club that reaches all parts of the globe.
The club has introduced thousands of people to diving and to the joys of underwater sport BSAC was set up in 1953 by Osscar Gugen and Peter Small. Also on the list of the fist members were Tom Barker and Peter's girlfreind Sylvia Gregg.
London No. 1 was formed out of the above and came into existence on the 24 May 1954. http://www.londondiver.com/

Blackpool No. 4.
Bournemouth No. 6.

Torbay No. 8.
Southend No. 9.
Taunton No. 10.
Today BSAC has some 45,000 members and our club is part of it. The club is now the world's biggest diving club and body.
In 1990 BSAC moved from its rented premises in the Sports Council offices in London to its own new office complex in the North West of England in Telford's Quay in Ellesmere Port, Merseyside.
